1. Introduction
The Journal of Additive Manufacturing Technology, affiliated with the Faculty of New Technologies and Aerospace Engineering at Shahid Beheshti University, aims to expand and enhance research while promoting scientific development and specialized knowledge in all fields related to additive manufacturing. Researchers are requested to submit their articles in Microsoft Word format via the journal’s website at https://amt.sbu.ac.ir/?lang=en. The journal publishes articles in both English and Persian biannually. All articles are evaluated by expert and renowned reviewers, and the journal reserves the right to accept or reject submissions, as well as to edit or shorten articles for publication. Submitted articles must not have been previously published or simultaneously submitted to other journals. The authors are solely responsible for the accuracy of the content.
2. Article Preparation Guidelines
Each article must include the following main sections:
2.1. Title
The title should not exceed 20 words and must clearly reflect the research’s key features. Avoid abbreviations in the title.
2.2. Authors’ Names and Affiliations
Authors’ names should be listed in a single line after the title, separated by commas. The affiliations of each author (Position, faculty, university, city, and country) should be provided in a separate line, numbered and referenced as outlined in the journal’s guidelines. The corresponding author must be marked with an asterisk (٭).
2.3. Abstract and Keywords
The abstract should be a single paragraph of 150–250 words, summarizing the research’s significance, methodology, and key findings. Avoid undefined abbreviations, excessive details, tables, figures, formulas, or references. Include 3–5 keywords at the end of the abstract, separated by commas. The title, authors’ names, abstract, and keywords should all appear on a separate page at the beginning of the article.
2.4. Introduction
This section should begin with an overview of the research topic, followed by a summary of prior work (with emphasis on publications from the last five years). The research’s novelty and contribution to advancing knowledge or addressing gaps should be clearly explained in one or two paragraphs.
2.5. Research Methodology
This section should define the problem statement, key concepts, research methods (theoretical, numerical or experimental), and proposed solutions. All figures, tables, and equations used in the article must be referenced in the text.
2.6. Results and Discussion
This is the most critical section of the article. Results must be validated both qualitatively and quantitatively, and all findings should be discussed in detail to ensure reader confidence in the research.
2.7. Conclusion
Summarize the key findings and the article’s scientific contribution. Avoid repeating the abstract. Potential applications, unresolved questions, and suggestions for future research may also be included.
2.8. Acknowledgments (Optional)
Authors may acknowledge individuals or organizations that indirectly supported the research.
2.9. Ethical Approval (Mandatory)
Authors must confirm that the article is their original work, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under review by another journal.
2.10. Conflict of Interest (Mandatory)
Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest with individuals, organizations, or institutions involved in the research.
2.11. List of Symbols
This section, placed before the references, should list English symbols first, followed by Greek symbols, in alphabetical order.
2.12. References
References must follow the Vancouver style. Cite books, journal articles, patents, conference papers, theses, technical reports, and credible websites. Avoid citing unpublished or non-credible sources. References should be listed in the order they appear in the text and must be provided in English (for Persian sources, add "in Persian" at the end). In-text citations should use square brackets (e.g., [1], [1-3], [1,3,5]).
3. Writing and Formatting Rules
This section details the journal’s writing and structural guidelines.
3.1. Structural Rules
3.1.1. General Layout
Page size: A4
Margins: Top (3 cm), Bottom (2.5 cm), Left/Right (2 cm)
Single-column text with double line spacing.
3.1.2. Fonts and Styles
Follow the journal’s template for font styles.
3.1.3. Figures and Tables
Figures:
Maximum of 15 figures (each part of a composite figure counts separately).
Center-aligned with sequential numbering (e.g., Figure 1).
Captions placed below figures.
Minimum 300 dpi resolution (JPEG or TIFF format).
English text in figures: Times New Roman.
Dark-colored axes and lines for consistency.
White background (no shadows).
Multi-part figures ordered left-to-right(a, b, c...).
Tables:
Center-aligned with sequential numbering (e.g., Table 1).
Captions placed above tables.
Text in tables must be editable (no image-based tables).
3.1.4. Mathematical Equations
Use Microsoft Word’s Equation Editor (Cambria Math, 10 pt).
Formatting rules:
Scalar variables: Italic lowercase
Vectors: Bold italic lowercase
Matrices: Bold italic uppercase
Numbers/units: Normal font

Use SI (metric) units.
Other units may be included parenthetically if necessary.
